Student story
A word from a student.
“Anytime there was that opportunity to play with dance, I was scared.”
I’ve been dancing for over 20 years. Something I’ve always struggled with is the fear of experimenting in my freestyle, whether it’s before a choreo piece, after a choreo piece, or a freestyle circle. Through his classes I’ve been able to start to try more on the freestyle aspect and the experimenting, and integrating those moves with the other styles that I train, which is really exciting.

Frequently
asked
questions.
Who is Hybrids Freestyle Camp for?+
It is for developing dancers who know some moves or have taken classes but still do not trust themselves when the music starts. It is especially useful if you freeze without choreography, run out of ideas, overthink while being watched, or do not know how to structure your practice.
Do I need experience in all four styles?+
No. You can be completely new to one or more styles. Each teacher provides a foundational entry point and shows you how that style can expand your freestyle.
Is this a beginner camp?+
It is designed for dancers starting from stuck, not necessarily from zero. You do not need battle experience, a large vocabulary, or a polished freestyle round. You should be willing to move, experiment, receive feedback, and respect the roots of each style.
Will I master four styles in five days?+
No. The goal is not instant mastery. You will gain authentic foundations, new movement qualities, practical freestyle tools, and a sustainable system for continuing your training after camp.
What happens at the two live dance events?+
Your camp enrollment includes VIP guest access to two Las Vegas dance events. They give you a real environment to practice social dancing, observe or enter a cypher, and experience a battle setting with support from the camp community. Specific participation details will be shared before camp.
Do I have to battle or enter a cypher?+
You will be invited to stretch beyond your comfort zone, but the purpose is growth, not embarrassment or elimination. Specific participation expectations and optional activities will be explained before registration is finalized.
What happens on Day 5?+
Perris brings the week together through a sustainable practice lab. You will learn how to record and review your rounds, recognize patterns, choose a useful training focus, give and receive feedback, and build a practice that remains fun enough to continue.
What do I keep after camp?+
You keep lifetime access to the dance training tool, the curated playlists, your practice framework, and access to the private Hybrids community.
Are travel and lodging included?+
No. The $299 early bird tuition covers the camp experience and the inclusions listed on this page. Travel, lodging, meals, and other personal expenses are separate unless explicitly stated otherwise at checkout.
What is the cancellation or refund policy?+
The cancellation, refund, and ticket transfer policy presented during checkout will govern your purchase. Review those terms carefully before completing registration.
